Music clubs

A HUGE thank you for all the girls who worked hard for our performance.

Primary Music club

Will be available term four Thursdays 1st half of lunch. Any primary aged student is welcome to play the various instruments we offer.

Secondary Music Club

Will be available again in term four 1st half of lunch. There has been some interest in guitar, piano, drums and even saxophone. All secondary students are welcome to come providing they wish to learn an instrument. Many students may not realise that it is free and they can learn on their own or have assistance if they choose. There is not any mandatory performance however if there is a group of students that wish to perform I will be happy to talk with them.

Learning an instrument

There is so much instrumental education on the internet. *YouTube has video lessons for almost any instrument at any level and it is also free. *There are applications for virtual instruments such as keyboard and drums. These are not as good as a real instrument however the parents/caregivers may be able to determine if their child is really interested in learning an instrument or is it a passing fad. As mentioned in the previous news article I posted, beginning lessons is the most difficult phase and with steady practice and endurance, it becomes much easier, more enjoyable and less difficult. I would recommend you read the previous posts I’ve made if you are curious about learning an instrument.
